The Abbey Showcases New Butterfly Garden

Shirley Poe was an avid gardener prior to moving into The Abbey at Westminster Plaza's assisted living community. Her daughters, Cindy Wolfram and Sharon Kluth, brought plants from their mother's home — along with new passion vines and bleeding heart vines — to create a butterfly garden in her honor.

Amid the milkweed plants, they even brought a caterpillar to start the transformation process. Shirley and The Abbey's residents have been enjoying the new garden area and look forward to the colorful array of blossoms and butterflies it will attract through the seasons.

Gardens and outdoor spaces are an important part of life at The Abbey. Our beautifully landscaped grounds offer residents a peaceful connection to nature, and personal touches like Shirley's butterfly garden are a reminder that this community is truly home.
